Events
On Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 pm, we are pleased to welcome three lecturers and 30 Fine Art students from the University of Salford to the exhibition Inceptive Space at Axel Obiger as part of their European study trip. During their five-day stay in Berlin, the group will visit museums, galleries, and project spaces to gain insight into Berlin’s vibrant art scene.
This visit continues an ongoing exchange between Axel Obiger and David Hancock, a lecturer at Salford University. Hancock previously directed PAPER Gallery in Manchester, which maintained a close collaboration with Axel Obiger. The cooperation began in spring 2020, initially as a digital exchange due to the pandemic. In 2022, Axel Obiger presented a physical exhibition at PAPER Gallery in Manchester, followed by a return exhibition curated by David Hancock in Berlin in 2023. Since then, both partners have remained in close contact, fostering a lasting dialogue and collaboration between Berlin and Manchester.
